NexBank headquartered in Texas is pushing for their best cd rates. The top cd rates can be enjoyed by opening a CD account for at least $10,000:

• 12 months 1.55% APY
• 18 months 1.75% APY
• 24 months 2.00% APY

The current cd rates they offer for the 24-month certificate of deposit may not be the highest cd rates in the market but it has a very nice bump feature. This allows consumers to top up their CD with $10,000 more once a year and get the best interest rate the bank offers.

The cd rates we have here are effective as of March 1 but they can be updated anytime. You can check out the rates page of the bank or contact them through 972-934-4760 if you have questions about their products and services.

They have an online application for the CD and their other products. When you tick the CD option, the address for the next section is limited to the state of Texas though. We are not sure if this is offered in other states so we are tagging this CD deal as a local offer. Consumers from other states though can call the bank to inquire since it is a money in the bank deal worth checking out.

One deal breaker though could be the weak ratings of the bank. Both Bankrate.com and BauerFinancial stamped their soundness and safety report card with only two stars. It will be wise to stay within the FDIC limits if you want to give it a shot.
