Broward Bank of Commerce has several money in the bank deals through their certicate of deposit offerings. The highest cd rates can be grabbed through their certificate of deposit specials which requires a$10,000 initial deposit and a set cap of $250,000. The current cd rates for these promos are 1.25% APY for the 12-month CD and 1.55% APY for the 24-month CD.
They also have attractive interest rates for their regular certificates of deposit. The best one that we found is the 36-month CD which has a current interest rate of 2.12% APY. Thei 5-year CD is at 2.38% APY which is not that impressive but still very competitive at today’s market. These CD requires a $1,000 initial deposit. You can also grab these certificates as IRA certificates.
Take note that this is a local CD deal. You need to go to the bank in order to open an account. The information on the website about the certificates are very limited. You might want to ask the bank about the potential fees and other factors that may affect your savings.
