2.95% APY best cd interest rates with Tyndall Federal Credit Union

Tyndall Federal FCU continues to push for their certificate of deposit deals which offer attractive cd interest rates. The top cd rates are offered through their Certificate Advantage program that injects an extra 0.25% earning atop the current interest rates of their published cd rates.

The account holder will be required to open 5 separate certificates with equal dollar deposits. The minimum required deposit is $500 for a 1-, 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5- year certificate. At the moment, the highest cd rates are:

12 months 1.40% APY

24 months 1.85% APY

36 months 2.25% APY

48 months 2.65% APY

60 months 2.95% APY

These interest rates may change without prior notice. There are also fees which may affect you’re the earnings of your deposit. The fine print also states that the APYs are based on the assumption that the account holder will keep the deposits until its maturity. Early withdrawals are also subject to certain penalties.

Upon maturity of your certificates of deposit, you can take out the funds or allow it to roll into a 5-year CD getting the effective interest rate on the date of the maturity. This is one way to stack up your funds and have access each year to a maturing certificate. Each will roll over to a regular 5-year CD if you leave them alone.
