The account holder can enjoy the highest cd rates with a minimum opening deposit of $10,000:

These best certificate of deposit rates require that you put in equal amounts into a long-term and a short-term certificate. You have 3 options for these CD ladders: 2.5 and 5 year certificates; 3,2, and 1 year CD; and 5,4,3,2,1 year certificate of deposit.
