Austin Telco Federal Credit Union with 12-month Jumbo Certificate of Deposit at 2.17% APY

Austin Telco Federal Credit Union is pushing for their CD deals with the best CD Rates. The highest CD rates are being offered for their Jumbo Certificates of Deposit which earn by fifteen basis points more. A 12-month Jumbo CD gains 2.17% APY while a 24-month term will yield 2.74% APY. These are also available as an IRA. The Jumbo CD requires an initial deposit of at least $95,000.

The regular certificates of deposit are also very competitive with a 24-month CD earning 2.32% APY and a 36-month deal at 2.83% APY. These top cd rates can be enjoyed with a minimum starting deposit of $1000.

The credit union has been offering good interest rates despite the drop in the past several months. The rates that we have here can change any time so it will be best to check with the bank prior to signing up for anything.

Membership to the credit union is open for those who live, study, work, or worship in the five metro areas of Austin. They welcome applications from the counties of Caldwell, Bastrop, Hays, Williamson, and Travis.

Austin Telco FCU requires a share savings balance of at least $25. We also received reports that the union makes a hard credit pull upon application.

They have several offices in Central Texas specifically in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, and Bastrop.

The ratings given to the performance and safety of the credit union are quite good. Both Bankrate.com and BauerFinancial issued 4 stars based on their March 2009 data.

Austin Telco FCU is covered by the NCUA through charter #4584.

  1. You may be thinking okay great, well that takes care of my end, but what about people that still use fax machines. Won’t I need a fax machine in order to receive documents from them.
