Best interest rates offered by EDS Credit Union for Certificate of Deposit, 2.35% APY for 9-month and 2.15% APY for 5-month special

The EDS Credit Union is still offering their highest cd rates for their 9-month jumbo cd special which earns 2.35% APY and another promo at 2.15% for a 5 month term.

The 9-month certificate of deposit requires $50,000 minimum deposit to enjoy the top cd rates but you can start with a $1000 minimum and still get 2.20% APY. The 5-month best cd rates can be enjoyed when you put in a $25,000 minimum deposit.

These special certificate of deposit offerings, by the way, automatically renew to a non-jumbo rate 6-month CD term upon maturity. Do not forget to instruct EDS so you will still get the best deal.

Membership to the EDS Credit Union is open for individuals who are residents and employees in Collin County, Texas. You may also be eligible if you live within a 10-mile radius from certain EDS offices or within 15 miles from their Plano, Texas headquarters. The credit union asks for a $5 minimum balance into a savings account.

The credit union has several offices located in several states. They have several branches in Texas specifically in Frisco, Plano, and Carrollton. If you are from California you can drop by their Santa Ana office. Michigan residents and employees have branches in Troy, Detroit, Pontiac, and Auburn Hills to visit. In Pennsylvania, they have the Camp Hill office. In Virginia, they have branches in Sterling and Herndon.

Some of their offices are located in buildings which have limited access. It might be best to call the branch within the 10-mile radius from your place so you can schedule or confirm availability of their personnel.

It will also be best to ask them about some fees which might affect the earnings of your certificate of deposit. These have not been detailed on their website. The rates may also change any time without notice so better verify those figures before signing up for anything.
