The Century Bank Direct has very attractive CD programs offered as 10-month certificates with gains of 4.45% APY. There are other programs like the 5-month CD rate which yields 4.01% APY.
The certificates require a minimum deposit of $1000 to open with a ceiling of $100K. They can also be funded via an ACH with a limit of not more than $25000. The interest of the certificates is computed on a daily basis and is distributed monthly.
Account holders may opt for automatic transfers to another bank account. The CD can also be closed using an online facility. The CDs have a 10-day maturity grace period.
Withdrawal penalties apply as follows: 90 days of earnings for 12 month terms and under, 180 days of interest for terms longer than 12 months.
