Fort Knox Federal Credit Union offers top cd rates, 7-month at 2.50% APY and 11-month CD at 2.60% APY
Fort Knox Credit Union offers three attractive certificate of deposit specials in Kentucky: a 2.75% APY (17-month term), 2.60% APY (11-months), and 2.50% APY (7 months).
The current interest rates for their regular CDs are also very competitive. Some of the highest interest rates are for their 24-month CD at 2.75% APY, 30-month CD at 3.00% APY, and 60-month deal with 4.00% APY.
The minimum opening deposit for their certificate of deposit specials and their regular CDs is $500. The rates are still posted on the site as of September 11, but it is recommended that you call a local branch to find out about the current cd rates.
There are also Jumbo CDs for $100,000. These give an extra 25 basis points for their regular certificates. They can also be combined with their Jumbo CD specials for 15 basis points more.
Fort Knox FCU accepts membership application from individuals who live, worship, or work in some counties of Kentucky. These are Taylor, Nelson, Meade, Larue, Hart, Grayson, Breckinridge, and Boyle. You can also sign-up to the credit union based on family affiliation and through select employee groups.
The credit union requires a membership fee of $10 and at least a $5 deposit into the share savings account.
They have offices in several cities in Kentucky: Fort Knox, Campbellsville, Elizabethtown, and Radcliff. It appears application for a membership and account openings must be done by visiting one of these offices.
