Montauk Credit Union has 4.5% 3- and 4.15% 1-Year CD Specials
The Montauk Credit Union in New York runs share CD promos with very competitive CD rates gaining 4.15% APY for a 1 year and 18-month terms, 4.25% APY for a 2-year program, 4.5% APY for the 36 and 48-month deals, and 4.75% APY for a 5-year CD. These are also available as IRA certificates.
The Montauk Credit Union has an open charter which allows anyone to apply and be accepted for membership. It seems that the New York laws are favorable to credit union charters which extend the span of membership. The MCU requires at least a deposit of $25 to the share savings account.
