Transstar FCU Offers 4.5% APY for its 1-year CD Special

The Transstar Federal Credit Union in Houston is still running their best CD rates holiday special until December 31. The 12-month term CD has gains of 4.5% APY.

Residents of Houston, Texas and people who work or go to church in the area are qualified to join the union. There are also select employee groups that are eligible for the program. Membership asks for a $5 minimum balance in their regular savings.

Bankrate.com and BauerFinancial issued 2 and 5 stars, respectively. The union is covered by the NCUA with charter # 7482.
