4.00% APY Best reward checking account with Linn Area Credit Union

Linn Area Credit Union is pushing for their best interest rate reward checking account. This money in the bank deal lets you earn an interest rate of 4.00% APY for balances of up to $25,000. You get to earn an interest rate of 0.30% APY for the portions of the funds above the $25K line. Plus, you get to have your ATM fees refunded. For you to earn this high interest rate reward checking account, you need to meet the following monthly requirements:

  • make at least 12 purchases using your debit card
  • setup a direct deposit on your retirement income or paycheck
  • enroll to electronic bank statement
  • activate e-Branch

You will be notified thru your e-mail if you meet the requirements and receive your earned reward or interest rate. The credit union’s website did not indicate the minimum deposit to open a reward checking account, but you may call them anytime to inquire.

Individuals who want to become a member of Linn Area Credit Union must work or live in the counties of Benton, Iowa, Johnson, Cedar, Jones, Delaware, Buchanan, or Linn in the state of Iowa. Relatives of existing members are also elligible to join the credit union. You also need to deposit a minimum of $5 to open a share savings account for membership.
