Class Act Federal Credit Union is pushing for their best interest rate rewards checking account called Honors Checking. The credit union let’s you earn 4.00% APY interest rate for balances of up to $25,000. For balances beyond $25,000, you will earn an interest rate of 1.01% APY. You will also get ATM surcharges up to $25 refunded when you meet the following monthly requirements:

• you must make at least 10 transactions using your check card with a total amount of more than $200 per month
• you must setup a direct deposit with funds coming from monthly payroll or employer’s retirement plan via ACH
• you must use internet banking and opt in for electronic bank statement at least once per statement cycle

You do not need to worry in case you do not meet the requirements listed above since you can still earn the base interest rate of 0.25% APY. Take note the the credit union may change the interest rates anytime without prior notice.
