$50 Reward Given for Bank of America Checking Account Special
The Bank of America is still running its USPS Movers Checking Account Bonus paying out $50. This is lower compared to their initial best checking account reward of $100 in 2007. The bonus will be credited to the account within 90 days after opening.
The minimum deposit to open a personal checking account and get the bonus is $100. The offer is limited to new accounts on a one per household basis and excludes multiple checking account or existing checking clients. It also requires IRS reporting using Form 1099.
There are some reports that the Bank of America does hard credit pulls for first time checking account holders. It will be wise to call the bank to inquire because a hard pull will ding your score for several months.
Some consumers have also shared their experience needing to follow up with the bank’s customer service to get the bonus. You can either do this through their phone or via the online messaging system.
Read the fine prints of the offer so you know how you can deal with some fees which may erroneously appear on your statement.
