Co-Op Credit Union offers best reward checking account at 4.35% APY in Wisconsin

Co-Op Credit Union headquartered in Wisconsin pushes for their best reward checking account that can earn as much as 4,35% APY for deposits of up to $25,000. Balances that are above the $25K ceiling have an interest rate of 1.30% APY. The base rate for the account is 0.25% if the monthly requirements of the reward checking account are not met.

The monthly requirements of this high yield checking account are the following:

  • Account holder must make 12 purchases using the Co-Op CU debit card
  • Set up an automatic debit or a direct deposit
  • Use the online banking facility
  • Opt for electronic monthly statement
  • Interested individuals can open an account for as little as $20. The credit union does not collect any service fees monthly. They also do not dictate any balance requirements to be met. Co-Op Credit Union though restricts multiple accounts per member.

    People who work, live, or own a property in Jackson County, La Crosse, Monroe, and Trempealeau are eligible to join. Members of any Jackson County cooperative are also qualified to sign up.
