ATM fees incurred nationwide are refunded to the account holder as long as he or she makes at least 10 purchases using the check card, a direct deposit or an ACH debit, and opts for electronic banking statements. The rate drops to 0.20% if these are not met.

The best checking account of First Bank only requires $100 initial funding. No monthly charges are collected.

A consumer can open multiple accounts but will only enjoy the best rate for each account if the set requirements are fulfilled.

The 6.00% earning is an excellent offer considering the current market condition. Only a number of offers from other financial institutions can compare to this checking account program.

Iowa residents can take advantage of the offer. New clients must visit a branch of the bank to open a First Bonus Checking. The customer service we spoke to before said an online application portal will be activated but this is not yet available as of this writing.
