Global Credit Union Gives 6% APY for Checking Account in Washington and Idaho
The Global Credit Union is running their best reward checking program that yields 6% APY for balances through $30000 and 0.25% for amounts above the cap.
It also refunds ATM fees if the account holder opts to receive electronic statements, use online banking, makes an automated deposit or takes out $100, and completes 12 debit card purchases. The rate drops to 0.25% if these conditions are not met.
The APY for this checking program is rare considering the condition of the market at the moment. The checking promo was kicked off last June 2008 and it will be best to confirm with the union up to when this best reward checking gains will run.
Residents and employees in Washington State and the counties of Latah, Shoshone, Benewah, and Kootenai in Idaho are eligible to join. Family members may also help you qualify for the union.
The Global Credit Union has offices in Spokane, Pasco, and Kennewick in Washington State and in the cities of Post Falls, Moscow, and Couer d’Alene in Idaho.
People who are not near the offices of the union but qualifies for membership may apply via mail.
The credit union is covered by the NCUA under its charter # 68237.
