Maine’s Ocean Communities FCU with 5.01% Reward Checking Program
Ocean Communities FCU is pushing for members to take advantage of the benefits of the Ocean Star Checking that gain 5.01% APY for balances up to $25K. The best checking account gives balances above the cap a 1.01% yield.
It also refunds ATM fees of up to $999 every cycle if the account holder performs a direct deposit or ACH payment, completes at least 12 purchases using the Visa Check Card, and decides to receive electronic statements. The rate drops to 0.20% if these conditions are not met.
The best reward checking account of the union allows multiple accounts. It also does not impose any minimum balance and does not charge any monthly service fees.
Individuals who are residents of or are employed in the areas of Cumberland and York counties in Maine are eligible to join the union. It will be best to visit the union’s website to know the details of the membership. The union requires members to make a minimum of $50-deposit to their share savings account.
