The Pacific Resource Credit Union offers a high interest checking account that has a top yield of 4.07% APY for balances through $25,000. The High Flying Check money in the bank deal gives 1.33% APY for portions above the set cap of $25K. ATM fees of up to $25 are refunded on a per cycle basis given that the monthly requirements are met.

To make most of the reward checking account interest rates consumers must make at least 10 purchases using the debit card, make a direct deposit or auto debit through ACH, and opt for e-statements to reimburse the ATM fees. The rates drops to the base 0.20% APY if these requirements are not met.

The bank has no set minimum initial deposits and does not impose any balance requirements. They also allow free use of the bill pay system.

The credit union is open to any member of the Central City Police Boosters. You can join this association by clicking an option to join it on the membership page of the union. Pacific Resource will take care of the $25 membership fee.

If you don’t want to join the union through any association you may still be qualified to sign up if you are a work, worship, attend school, or live in Torrance, Los Angeles, La Palman, Cerritos, Cypress, and Carson which are all in California.
