Intervest National Bank invites consumers nationwide to take advantage of their money market account that has the following current interest rates:

$2,500 to $24,999.99 1.15% APY
$25,000 to $49,999.99 1.23% APY
$50,000 to $99,999.99 1.30% APY
$100K and over 1.35% APY

This money in the bank deal requires an initial deposit of at least $1,000 to open the account. A daily average of $1,000 is necessary to earn any interest. Account holders must stay on or above the $2,500 line to avoid a monthly service fee of $12.

Takeouts from the money market account is limited to six per month. Anything going beyond the limit may be subjected to a $10 for every transaction. You can withdraw any time in person, via messenger, or by mail without having to worry about any limitations. An ATM card is an option for this account but they charge a minimal fee when you use it.

You can send your funds by mailing in a check, do wire transfer, or set up an ACH transfer from your other bank. Checks with this account do not come for free unless you are 55 years old or older. Senior accounts do come with 2 booklets of checks for free.
