1.40% APY top tier money market rates with Golf Savings Bank

Golf Savings Bank is pushing for their best money market account called VIP Money Market. This money in the bank deal offers their best money market rates for customers who have a deposit or loan relationship of at least $10,000 with the bank.

The current interest rates for this tiered money market account are the following:

Tier 1 $250,000 1.40% APY
Tier 2 $100K to $250K 1.35% APY
Tier 3 $50K to $100K 1.25% APY
Tier 4 $10K to $50K 1.10% APY
Tier 5 $2,500 to $10K 0.95% APY
Tier 6 $0 to $2,500 0.50% APY

These best money market rates can be enjoyed when you open an account with an initial deposit of at least $2,500. This is also the line you need to watch if you want to avoid the $15 monthly service charge.

The account is limited to six withdrawals per month and it will cost you $10 for every transaction that goes beyond the allowable free transactions.

The bank also offers other perks like free checks, online banking, and cashier’s checks when you open an account.

The bank also offers their Champion Money Market Account that also has a tiered structure:

This one can be opened for $1,000. It has a lower monthly service fee of $10 and excess withdrawal charge of $10. You do not need an existing relationship with the bank to open the Champion money market account.
