Telbec Federal Credit Union is still pushing for their high yield savings account under their Share Savings account. This high interest savings account is tiered and has the following current interest rates:

• $5.00 to $5,000                   0.51% APY
• $5,000.01 to $15,000           0.35% APY
• $15,000.01 to $30,000         0.45% APY
• $30,000.01 to $55,000         0.65% APY
• $55,001 and above              1.00% APY

This best savings account requires a minimum deposit of $5 to open an account. The earnings of these money in the bank deal are compounded daily and credited monthly. You can make up to 6 withdrawals or transfers per statement cycle which can be made via mail, automatic, pre-authorized, phone, and in person.

You also get the benefit of accessing your account any time you want by simply signing-up to online banking. You can even make free bill payments and review your statements through the internet. Please do remember that the interest rate may change once you open an account, so make sure to call the credit union and ask for the most current savings account rate.

Membership with Telbec Federal Credit Union are open to employees of Egnor Monuments, Glen-White Trap Hill P.S.D., Mountain State Ent and Facial Plastic Surgery, Inc., Athletics and Physical Therapy Services, Hilltop Baptist Church, Maxwell Hill Baptist Church, Avaya, Lucent, AT&T, and Frontier. Relatives of the employees are also eligible to join.

You can apply for membership by visiting the credit union’s office which is located in Beckley, West Virginia. You must fill up the membership application form and open your new share savings account. You must also bring valid government identification like social security card, driver’s license, or state issued ID, and make sure the your current address is listed on the ID that you will be presenting.
