1.50% APY High interest savings account with Northern Star Credit Union
Northern Star Credit Union offers their best savings interest rate through their Kasasa Savers account. This high yield savings account requires you to have a Kasasa Cash checking account linked to your Kasasa Saver account in order to earn their best interest rate.
This high interest savings account lets you earn an interest rate of 1.50% APY on balalnces up to $25,000. portion of your deposit above $25K will earn you an interest rate of 1.00% APY. In case you do not meet the requirements you will then earn an interest rate of 0.15% APY which is the base interest rate for Kasasa accounts.

Northern Star Credit Union membership is open to individual who live, worship, attend school, work, or volunteer in the cities of Newport News, Hampton, Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake, and Suffolk in the state of Virginia. Relatives of current members are also eligible to join.
There are several options to apply for membership an dopen an account. You can either apply online or visit one of the credit union’s branches. You also need to bring picture IDs like driver’s license, state issued ID or U.S. Passport. Aside from this, you also need to bring your social security card.
