Laredo Fire Department Federal Credit Union offers attractive interest rates for their savings account under share savings. This money in the bank deal has the following current interest rates:
- $100 to $24,999.99 0.50% APY
- $25,000 to $49,999.99 1.50% APY
- $50,000 to $9,999,999.99 2.00% APY
You can take advantage of this high interest savings account when you open an account and deposit a minimum of $5. New account holders will also be charged a one time fee of $0.25. You need to maintain a daily average balance of at least $100 or more to earn this best savings account rate.
This high yield savings account allows you to transfer or withdraw funds for up to 6 times per statement cycle. You can process your transfer or withdrawal through pre-authorized, telephone, check, or automatic. There will be an additional fee added for every transaction you make when you exceed the limit.
You can make unlimited deposits on to your savings account through the internet, payroll deductions, or over the counter. You are given the privilege to access your account through Home Banking services. You can even make bill payments online, transfer funds and receive your statements electronically. Membership with Laredo Fire Department Federal Credit Union is open to retirees and employees of the credit union and Laredo Fire Department. Immediate family which includes spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandchildren, grandparents are also eligible to join.
There are two ways to apply for membership, first is to contact the credit union member service line at 956-722-7841. Another option is to visit their office located in Laredo, Texas. All you need to do is to complete the membership application and open a share savings account. Take note that you need to maintain at least $5 on your account to avoid termination of your membership. You also need to submit a copy of your valid picture ID or other documents with your current address listed on it.
Laredo Fire Department Federal Credit Union is a non profit financial institution which was established in 1958. All accounts with the credit union are insured of up to $250,000 with the National Credit Union Association and they have a charter number of 12472.
