New Internet Bank: Clear Sky Guarantees 3.75% APY until March 31, 2009 for High Interest Savings Account
A new internet bank, Clear Sky, is offering high interest savings with yields of 3.75% APY guaranteed until the end of March this year for new accounts. The account does not require any monthly fees and only requires $1 minimum balance. The ceiling for the high yield savings is $250000.
All accounts with the bank can be opened online by interested individuals from any state. The account can be funded through interbank or ACH transfer. Transfers are limited to $10K/day out and $50K/day in. Interbank links can be established between the Clear Sky account and 3 other accounts from different banks.
According to the CSR of the bank, Clear Sky does not do any hard credit check. It will be wise to double-check with the bank before proceeding with the application.
Clear Sky Accounts are insured with the FDIC through the Chesapeake Bank of Virginia. This bank has been insured with the FDIC since 1934 and has certificate # 6862.
