Savings Interest Rates with Zions Bank at 2.66% APY for Internet Account

High interest rates savings can be enjoyed with Zions Bank internet account. Consumers can earn 2.66% APY for internet savings that has a balance of at least $1000. Opening an account however requires only $100.

The best interest rates are effective as of February 4, 2008 and may change any time. The rates are compounded on a daily basis and are credited to the account monthly.

Application can be completed online. Phone bankers will also be able to help you through the bank’s toll free number.

According to the promo page the bank does not collect any monthly fees. Transfers are limited to six times every statement cycle. These transfers consist of telephone, automatic, or pre-authorized transfer. Withdrawals in person, over the ATM, messenger, or mail are not limited.

Teller window withdrawals are charged a $3 fee per transaction. A $3 fee is also collected for telephone transfers in excess of three per month.

Zions Bank has its headquarters in Salt Lake City in Utah. It was founded in the 1870’s and is today considered as one of the oldest banks in the West.

They have branches and ATMs spread across Washington, Utah, Texas, Oregon, New Mexico, Nevada, Idaho, Colorado, Californai, and Arizona.

The bank is known for an excellent customer service. Bankrate.com issued a 4-star rating when it reviewed Zions’ financial soundness.

Zions Bank is insured with the FDIC. They are among the pioneer members of the program since 1934.
